Hostal Balmaceda was a great find in Punta Arenas. the kind hostess, despite speaking only Spanish, went out of her way to help us with information, taxi bookings, and even took care of our laundry. the location was convenient, just a few minutes' walk from the center, supermarket, and waterfront. the hostel had comfortable conditions, including a dining area, fridge, toaster, and room for children. the rooms were nicely decorated, with a very nice bathroom. it was a comfortable and clean place to stay, and the owner was extremely helpful. Cons: Absolutely nothing! 😊.

The location of the hotel is very convenient, just a few minutes walk from the center, supermarket, and waterfront. It's perfect for exploring the main square and downtown. the rooms are comfortable with nice beds and the showers are amazing. the bathrooms are extremely clean.
You have to ring the bell every time you want to get in, which can be a bit annoying.

We had a wonderful stay at a lovely hostel in Punta Arenas. the room at Hostal Balmaceda was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. We appreciated the adjustable heating system, which kept us cozy throughout our stay. the owner was extremely kind, allowing us full access to the kitchen and even preparing a packed breakfast for us when we couldn't make it to the included breakfast due to our schedule. the location was convenient, just a short 5-10 minute walk to the main street. We highly recommend this hostel!
Nothing to mention 🙌.

The price for our fully renovated double room with a private bathroom was perfect. the friendly and entertaining lady owner made our stay enjoyable. the location was convenient, close to the main square and downtown. the room was comfortable and clean, with a functioning heating system. We were also given full access to the kitchen and had the option for a packed breakfast.
The lack of a proper kitchen in the hostel, which made it difficult for us to cook meals during our longer stay.
